It's more of the same arrogance we've come to expect from this administration, and the attitude that "if you didn't vote for me, I don't really care about your point of view" mentality. I guess all those hundreds of tea bags he's been getting in the mail are getting on his nerves. He took a shot at the protestors today with this statement: “Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I’m not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, Obama said, “let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.” “But,” Obama continued, “let’s not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act.” Oh, so I guess he has noticed. And what 'certain news channels' is he not popular on? Would that be FoxNews, with over double the viewers for late night primetime of all other majory news channels combined? But then he got a wake up call when he showed up at a high school in St. Louis, and was greeted by a crowd full of crazy tea bag waving Americans. A couple hundred to be exact. And there was 15 Obama supporters there. Oops. Wrong stop on the NeverEndingCampaign™ tour for the Obama Bus. |
